BoltNagi PC regularly represents providers before the Virgin Islands Public Services Commission and in the courts in matters regarding telecommunications. Our experience in this area includes matters involving long distance competition, competing local exchange carriers, Internet service providers and interconnection agreements, as well as more routine certification and compliance issues.

BoltNagi’s attorneys have actively drafted many of the telecommunication and electronic transaction laws of the U.S. Virgin Islands including Act No. 5034, “The Cable Telecommunications Act of 1984”; Act No. 6634, “The Uniform Electronic Transaction Act”; Act No. 7299, “The Wireless Telecommunications Facilities Act”, together with accompanying regulations; Act No. 7798, “The Underground Facility Damage Prevention and Safety Act”, better known as “Call Before You Dig”; and the “U.S. Virgin Islands Telecommunications Act of 2020” which is currently pending with the Legislature of the Virgin Islands.
